In 2023, my cat Luna (who we call Luna Tuna) was diagnosed with cancer in her back leg caused by a rabies shot. We had to do multiple tests and scans to prepare for an amputation of her leg, which was the only option to guarantee full removal of the cancer. All of these costs began to add up, so I was inspired to use my knowledge of social media and design to raise money for her. I created Little Tuna Co. and designed stickers and T-shirts, which I made using a Cricut. I shared Luna's story on TikTok and created an Etsy to sell my products, and the amount of supporters and sales I made was incredible. So far, I have made 137 sales and have a 5-star review on Etsy.
Luna is now a happy and healthy tripod cat, and I discovered a love for creating physical products from my designs. I continued to design more stickers, began doing pet commissions, and am continuing to grow my small Etsy business.
